I had three people forward this email to me. There are things in this pitch that make it sound like they are offering "special" things (adding you to Apple) and they don't provide enough details (who owns the show) and much of this pitch "is happening soon." In my opinion, it smells a little fishy.
1. Go to talk someone on the network and see if their download numbers have gone up since they joined.
2. If you decide to leave MAKE SURE you OWN your show and can take your audience with you.
3. Getting "paid in promotion" only makes sense if someone is actually seeing the promotion.
What helps your audience grow is knowing your audience, and giving them what they want. While this concept seems like a good idea, I wouldn't jump on board without a lot more details.
